no longer active behind the chair? Who will take their place?
Who will teach the next generation? As of March 29, 2001 the
masters have! An exciting way of learning Cosmetology is being
offered at the Academy of Cosmetology Arts (ACA) - The Cosmetology
Apprenticeship Program. ACA is one of only four apprentice programs
in the United States offering a nationally recognized certification
in cosmetology.
At the Academy of Cosmetology Arts, the student will not only receive theoretical instruction like traditional Cosmetology schools, but they will also receive one on one, hands on training in one of our many participating salons while they earn a wage - earn while you learn!
ACA has designed an exciting and dynamic curriculum that will examine all areas of the Cosmetology profession including:
- Hairstyling, wet setting, and thermal styling
- Hair coloring and bleaching
- Hair cutting
- Shampooing and scalp treatments
- Permanent waving and chemical relaxing
- Facial makeup
- Hair removal
- Nail technology
- Massage facials and skincare
- Salon management
- Success dynamics
- Professional Ethics
- And more
Upon completion of the Cosmetology Apprenticeship Program, the student will be prepared
for salon appropriate methods while meeting the required elements for the Colorado State Cosmetology Licensing Exam.
