How would you like to enter into one of the fastest growing careers in the United States today?  In the exciting and dynamic field of Esthetics, you can become a makeup artist for film, photography or television, a salon or spa owner, or a skincare specialist on a cruise ship or in a medical setting plus many more great opportunities.  At the Academy of Cosmetology Arts (ACA), the Esthetics program is a traditionally taught program and is designed for students who wish to study the art and science of skin care.  Classroom time will explore both theoretical studies and practical applications with hands on instruction performed on fellow classmates and ACA clients.  Exclusively at ACA, as a part of the Esthetician program, the student will also receive post graduate, state required certifications for both Microdermabrasion (a $400 value) and Cosmeceutical Peels (a $500 value).  At ACA, the student can complete this fun and dynamic program in as little as 9 months.  Some of the topics covered in the curriculum include:

• Massage techniques
• Facial treatments
• Make-up techniques
• Hair removal
• Management and salesmanship
• Electrotherapy and electrical equipment
• Spa / body treatments

Upon completion of the Esthetician Program, the student will be prepared for salon / spa appropriate methods while meeting the required elements for the Colorado State Esthetics Licensing Exam.
